»Eternal Winter«

is an exploration of the nature of change. The title contains a contradiction between eternity and the cyclical nature of the seasons. While winter is a transient phase, eternity suggests unchangeability. The „eternal winter“ – a state of solidification that is never overcome. Emotionally, it is a metaphor for grief and loss.

Blows of fate break the continuity of our lives and shake our basic trust. A feeling of stagnation arises where nothing moves forward. The world feels as if life has come to a standstill. In this situation, it is difficult to recognise the many small changes that are constantly taking place.

It takes time to let go and accept. And to come to the realisation that the new can only emerge from what has already been.
